Destination Outer Space!
Our topic this term is all about outer space! We will be learning the names of the planets, the order and learning a planet song. We will be decorating our classroom as a solar system and making lots of space crafts.
The children painted their very own aliens and described them using adjectives such as: spikey, smiley, hairy and wobbly! We also read 'Aliens in Underpants', which we loved! The children designed their own crazy underpants and painted them to hang around our classroom.
Reading Events
This term we held a Parent Reading Event for Reception Class. Each child was given a special invitation to give to one person from their family to come into class and read with a group of children. We also enjoyed juice and biscuits whilst a bonfire video played in the background. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a story!
We have been counting, ordering and sorting numbers this term.
