We continue this term with The Victorian Era. We will be looking at clothes and fashion, the Zulu Wars, explorers, grand designs and possibly inventions if time permits.

 

In maths we are covering scaling up, prime numbers, long division, volume, adding, subtracting and multiplying fractions, simplifying them, percentages, ratios, factors, prime factors, timetables and rounding (to name but a few!)

 

Geography this term will be river systems, the Nile and possibly the Congo, tying in with our history topic (Speke's discovery of the source of the Nile).

 

In Science we continue to explore forces: gravity, lift, air resistance, drag, magnetic force and friction. We will prepare, conduct and write up experiments and may have time to design a bullet train, submarine or aircraft.
