Useful information for Class 5:

Homework

We ask that you hear your child read aloud for 20 minutes each day as this will greatly benefit their progress in reading. It will also underpin all their other learning as reading is a key skill across the curriculum. Please record each time they read in their Reading Record. We will look at these each Friday. 

Homework is set on a Friday and should be completed by Friday of the following week.  Spellings will be set every Friday ready for a spelling test on the following Friday.

P.E.

Swimming is on a Monday afternoon.

Children will require swimming trunks/costume, a swimming cap, a large towel, and a bag to hold everything (all named). Children must not bring spray deodorants etc., for safety reasons.  Earrings MUST be removed (NOT taped) for swimming, so it is advisable not to have ears pierced between now and the end of the swimming season.

PE is on a Friday afternoon.

Children may come to school in their PE kits.

Earrings need to be removed or covered with tape if they have just been pierced. 

Watches should be removed.

Long hair should be tied up.

Every item of clothing in the PE kit must be labelled please.
