Maths
In maths, Class One have been measuring different objects in class and around the school using non-standard and standard units of measurement.
English
In English, the children have been learning and performing different seaside poems. They have made up some stanzas of their own too!

Science
In Science this week we have been classifying animals in different ways and looking closely at the sea creatures that live in our five oceans around the world.
Creative Week!
Class One have had an awesome time embracing our Creative Week theme of 'It's a Wonderful World'. We have designed and created seaside dioramas and fruit kebabs in DT. We have learnt about patterns and printing in Art and Design by looking at the work of Orla Kiely. We have made clay pots, clay imprints with leaves and made art in the woods using natural materials. We have even learnt how to Morris Dance. What an amazing week of creativity and fabulous behaviour for learning!
