From Caves to Clans!

This term we will be travelling to the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age periods. We will look at what made these periods in history special by exploring the discoveries and inventions. We will look at what cave men were really like and discover what it would have been like to live in those times. We will examine the types of homes people used to live in, what they ate and how they farmed.

In English we will be investigating narrative plot, characters and settings in Stone Age Boy. We will continue to challenge ourselves to use adventurous vocabulary and develop our use of more complex sentences. We will use all of this wonderful knowledge to write our own interpretation of the story.

In Maths this term, we will be continuing to build upon a range of mathematical skills, including, place value, fractions and decimals, area and perimeter and multiplication and division. We will continue to apply our skills to solving problems and developing our mathematical language through reasoning.

In science we will be starting a new topic about all living things and their habitats. We will focus on the seven life process (MRS GREN) the characteristics of the organisms and how they can be classified.

In P.E this term we will begin our swimming lessons and, to add to the excitement, it is our turn for Forest School!
