Into The Woods
The first topic in Reception Class is ‘Into The Woods’. We will be exploring all things related to the woods including: animals, plants, weather, habitats, exploring, climbing trees and much more!

Our first week at school!
Phonics
We have made a super start to our Phonics learning this year. We will be making marks using lots of different tools to improve our fine and gross motor skills. We are learning how to form each letter and singing lots of songs too!
Maths
We have been counting to 10 so far this term and we are starting to write numerals too. We have also been comparing amounts using language: bigger, smaller, taller and shorter. We will move onto making patterns and developing our reasoning skills. Here are some photographs of us finding two matching objects. We were noticing similarities and differences.
Topic
We have been enjoying lots of woodland related stories this term. In the afternoons we use different media to design and create art work.
