Jemmy Button - The Boy That Darwin Returned Home...
By Jennifer Uman & Valerio Vidali.
Inspired by the true story of Jemmy Button - a native boy from Tierra del Fuego who was brought to England to be ‘civilised’ - this book illustrates Jemmy’s extraordinary encounters as an outsider in an unfamiliar land and his emotional return home...
We have been developing our archaeological skills this term by looking at artefacts & thinking about what they might have been used for. Some of class 3 brought in mysterious artefacts for us to have a look at, so we could test our skills. We thought about what they might be used for, what they were made from & who might use them. What ideas can you think of?
