Our curriculum for term 5
Science - Our topic this term is... Plants!
We went on a plant hunt around the school grounds. We looked at lots of different wild and garden plants. We drew what we found and identified them using our plant finder.
English - Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers.
In English we have been sequencing the story using pictures from the book to help us. We are writing sentences using adverbs to describe when something happened in the story.
Maths
Geography
In geography we have been practising how to use an atlas. We have found out how to locate the four countries of the United Kingdom on a map as well as the capital cities. We sang a song about the seas and oceans around the UK and labelled our own map with these. We discussed and sorted some human and physical features of each country or the UK then drew some ourselves.
