Times Table Practise
Rhyming can help children to retain times table facts so here are a few to get you started:
Six times table
Six and five watched the birdie; the number of times she chirped was thirty
6 times 6 is 36, now go outside to pick up sticks
6 times 7 is 42, and don’t forget to tie your shoe
6 times 8 is 48, so don’t forget to finish your plate
Seven times table
7 and 5 went for a drive, 7 times 5 is 35
6 times 7 is 42, and don’t forget to tie your shoe
7 and 7 are doing fine. 7 times 7 is forty-nine.
5,6,7 and 8, 56 is 7 times 8.
9 and 7 climbed a tree, 9 times 7 is 63
Eight times table
4 and 8 were sad and blue. 4 times 8 is thirty-two
I ate and ate until I was sick on the floor, 8x8 is 64
