Times Table Practise

Rhyming can help children to retain times table facts so here are a few to get you started:

Six times table

Six and five watched the birdie; the number of times she chirped was thirty

6 times 6 is 36, now go outside to pick up sticks

6 times 7 is 42, and don’t forget to tie your shoe

6 times 8 is 48, so don’t forget to finish your plate

Seven times table

7 and 5 went for a drive, 7 times 5 is 35

6 times 7 is 42, and don’t forget to tie your shoe

7 and 7 are doing fine. 7 times 7 is forty-nine.

5,6,7 and 8, 56 is 7 times 8.

9 and 7 climbed a tree, 9 times 7 is 63

Eight times table

4 and 8 were sad and blue. 4 times 8 is thirty-two

I ate and ate until I was sick on the floor, 8x8 is 64
