At Kemsing, we endeavour to keep the school open and running if at all possible. We understand that for many parents, closure causes childcare difficulties and huge inconvenience. However, in the event of very severe weather conditions, where the health and safety of the children and/or staff would be compromised by the school being open, we may need to close.

Where the weather is sufficiently inclement to prevent opening, we will post this information on the school website as soon as possible. In addition announcements will be made via the websites of local radio stations: BBC Radio Kent, Invicta Radio and Heart fm.

 

Please note: If the school is forced to close Breakfast Club will also not operate.

If you hear no mention of this school on the radio, please bring your children in as usual.

Should we need to close the school early during the school day, the school office will contact all parents using the contact details provided on contact sheets returned during the Autumn Term. It is therefore imperative that any changes in these details are brought to the attention of the school office as soon as possible.
