Welcome to the Summer Term!

In English we have been sequencing the story using pictures from the book to help us. We are writing sentences using adverbs to describe when something happened in the story.

In maths, we have been working on related facts. We used bananas to help make a part, whole model then wrote number sentences to match. We looked at addition and subtraction sentences then thought of some of our own problems to solve.

In geography we have been practising how to use an atlas. We have found out how to locate the four countries of the United Kingdom on a map as well as the capital cities. We sang a song about the seas and oceans around the UK and labelled our own map with these. We discussed and sorted some human and physical features of each country or the UK then drew some ourselves.
