SEESAW

Hello everyone,

I’m sorry in advance, there is a lot of information in the following message!

So here is the plan for after Easter. As it looks like we are going to be learning from home for the foreseeable future, I would like to increase the level of interaction that I have with the children and create an environment in which they can more independently access work. To do this, I have set up a class SEESAW account. Through SEESAW the children can find the work I have set from them, view video tutorials and responded to the activities set. They can annotate on the screen, make videos about their work and take photographs to upload. It should therefore be accessible for all! Importantly, they cannot talk to each other, this is a secure environment that only members of our class are invited to using specific codes and only I can view what they have produced. Although I may not specifically respond to each piece of work, I will absolutely see it.

  • You will need to download the ‘SEESAW: The Learning Journey’ app for your child or they can access SEESAW through a normal search engine.
  • I will contact you all with the children’s individual codes that will allow them to access our Class 5 SEESAW page. If you would like to access SEESAW as a parent, please follow this link: https://app.seesaw.me/s/002-867-542
  • Here is a video explaining how it can be accessed and used by the children: youtu.be/W9FyB1SCbeM

I will only be setting up to 5 tasks a week, but these should hopefully keep them busy!

Despite these challenging times, I am excited about the level of interaction that SEESAW can offer. It will take some time to get used to, but hopefully will help to support you all and be a motivating change for the children.

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Vale
