Term 6
The Seaside
Our learning this term has been all about the seaside. In history we have been exploring what seaside holidays were like in the past and how it is the same and different to today. In PSHE we have also been learning about the job of a coast guard and beach safety.
In English we have been learning based on 2 different Sea based stories. The Snail and the Whale and The Night Pirates.
We wrote a different version of the Snail and the Whale. The Crab and the Whale, then acted it out with shaddow puppets.
In Maths we have been doing a lot of work with money finding amounts using different coins under 20p. We made our own stalls in the classroom and shopped, practicing using our adding skills with money.

We have been on a treasure hunt using rulers to measure what we have found. We have also used balancing scales to find how much the treasure weighs.
We have had great fun in Pirate week. Here are some of the things we have done!
