This term we have continued with our history topic The Mayans, learning about their culture and art: in Creative Week we created Mayan pots or animal figurines.

We have also been looking at the American War of Independence and Independence Day (July 4th), acting out the battles of Lexington and Concord, the Boston Tea Party, the Declaration of Independence and the burning of the White House (1814) in assembly!

During creative week we have created some lovely models of Greek temples;  a few in the group have participated in our 500 Words Competition and Art Challenges. We have looked at the causes and outcome of the French Revolution and made an attempt at singing La Marseillaise, ready for Bastille Day on July 14th(!) We may even find time to write our own Declaration of the Rights of Man...

The group will be meeting their buddies soon and in the final week they will be meeting Mrs Brown, their teacher next year.
