Term 5
Our topic this term is Excellent Explorers! We will be learning about famous people who have explored unknown places and finding out what they discovered.
We are learning about past explorers who travelled the Earth like Christopher Columbus and comparing them to brave astronauts who have explored space (Neil Armstrong and the Apollo 11 crew).
We are focusing on arithmetic and problem solving in maths, and improving our mental calculation skills.
In Science we are focusing on what animals and plants need to survive. We have organised food into the different food groups and have designed delicious healthy meals to show a balanced diet.

Making Smoothies
Class 2 have been designing and making smoothies using fruit, milk and juice. We washed and prepared the fruit ourselves, being careful when using knives, and blended the ingredients together into delicious smoothies!
