Reception Class

Hello and welcome to Reception Class!

Class Teachers: Mrs Jackaman and Mrs Kemp

Support Staff: Mrs Moreno-King and Mrs Zuyeva

Volunteer: Mrs Hands

Welcome to Reception at Kemsing Primary School.

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to our Reception class. Starting school is a very special milestone, and we are excited to begin this journey together.

In Reception, children make new friends, explore exciting activities, and discover the joy of learning through play, creativity, and hands-on experiences. There will be stories to share, songs to sing, games to enjoy, and many exciting adventures along the way.

Our Early Years Vision

The Early Years is an exciting and important stage in a child’s development. Reception provides the foundations for future learning and supports children in developing confidence, independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.

At Kemsing Primary School, we are committed to providing a safe, secure, nurturing, and happy environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to thrive.

We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential in helping children achieve their very best. This webpage will support that partnership by providing information about your child’s learning experiences throughout the year.

We also use Seesaw to share important information, celebrate learning, and communicate with families. Parents are encouraged to use Seesaw to share the wonderful learning and experiences children enjoy at home.
